DOZENS of firefighters were battling a blaze at tower block close to London’s Olympic Village early this morning.
Witnesses said they saw residents screaming and running from the burning building on Leather Gardens in Stratford, east London, at about 1.46am.
Eight fire engines, 58 firefighters and police officers rushed to deal with the fire which started in a 17th floor flat.
The London Fire Brigade said: “We were called at 01:22.
