A MAN is in a critical condition after being shot by police.
Cops were yesterday called to a house in Somerset as part of an investigation into possible firearm offences. Officers entered the property on Wick Road in Wick St Lawrence where a man, in his 30s, was shot. He was given emergency first aid before being rushed to Southmead Hospital where he remains. Avon and Somerset Police said the Independent Office for Police Conduct had been informed of the incident, which happened at about 11.
